Each lesson was tested in classrooms from Pre-K to Middle School for 14 years. The experience supports what the child should know from the previous grade and what the child is expected to know for the next grade.
The materials to teach reading can be found at home or in the dollar store and the suggested books to read can be found in the library. “You don’t need a lot of money to teach Reading, you just need to know what to do”
The goal of Reading Strategies: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers is to educate parents and caregivers on the same reading strategies experienced t4eachers use in the classroom. The purpose of this workshop is to prove you don’t need a lot of money to teach reading, you just need to know what to do. Our mission is to train Parents in the same strategies successful teachers use in the classroom.
Reading Strategies: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers was inspired by and written for Parents, Caregivers, Day Care Teachers, and First-Year Teachers. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, older siblings, anyone who touches the life of a child. Reading Strategies: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers can also be used in Adult Literacy Programs because reading strategies are the skills needed to become fluent readers.
